Underwater Photography Workshop
Hi Divers – I’m attempting the first of a number of online sessions this coming Tuesday 24th March.
I’m running a presentation and workshop on underwater photography that I first ran about 18 months ago. The workshop covers the first couple of modules of the BSAC underwater photography course, and then I have included a couple of practical examples that I can use to demonstrate a few photo-processing techniques.
A few people will probably use Photoshop, but I’m going to avoid that as it is a paid product. Instead. All of the techniques will be demonstrated using the GNU Image Manipulation program (‘GIMP’ for short). This is a community supported app that can be download to Windows, Mac or Linux from https://www.gimp.org/downloads/. You don’t need it for the presentation – just added it in case anyone wants to play around with the techniques after the presentation.
The workshop will start at 7:30pm prompt. NOTE – the meeting closes after 40 mins. I will warn people that this is about to happen. Use the opportunity to refill drinks or take a comfort break. You will then need to re-join the meeting at 8:15pm.
The meeting link has been emailed separately.
