From beginner to experienced, Dearne Valley Divers provides a full BSAC training programme that enables divers to progress through a framework of qualifications at their own pace.

In BSAC courses, diving skills are taught progressively - each new experience built upon, step-by-step. This combination of theory, pool sessions, open water skills and continual technique practice enables you to develop your diving in a safe and enjoyable way.

There are five internationally-recognised BSAC diver grades, from the entry level Ocean Diver through to First Class Diver.

What does it all cost?

If you are brand new to the sport with no qualifications then to train and qualify with Dearne Valley Divers it will cost you around £260 (This includes a one of charge of £60 for Ocean diver grade which is your first qualification). Quite simply you pay an annual BSAC registration fee, plus an annual branch subscription. On top of your BSAC and branch fees are costs per qualification training packs at a cost of £32.50-£42.50.

In August 2020, BSAC launched the option for Ocean Diver trainees to complete eLearning through the BSAC website. Therefore, you can either opt  to complete theory online via the website or with our instructors. Access to the Ocean Diver eLearning materials start at £59 for club members.
