Our yearly dive trip to the Sound of Mull did not disappoint. Fantastic diving with a fantastic social side. Members from both our club and Barnsley bsac.

We travelled up on Thursday with an overnight stop over in Dumbarton. Up early on Friday to carry on the journey to Lochaline. We usually do two shore dives on a Friday but the weather wasn’t up to much so we got ourselves settled in Highland basecamp bunkhouse, this is a fantastic base for diving groups.

Ropes off with Lochaline Boat charters on Saturday was an unusual 10:30 due to tides.  SS Shuna in the morning with a surface interval at Tobermory where we rested at the Church cafe and then Calve island for the afternoon dive.

Sunday ropes off was at 10:00am, SS Breda with a surface interval at Oban where some of us went shopping for dry clothes and some of us ate food at a bus stop! The afternoon dive was Thesis.

A highlight in the diving calendar and looking forward to Mull 2023.
