Here’s some 2014 footage from Paul Tarn and Geoff Lord exploring the wreck of the Imperial Japanese Navy cargo vessel San Francisco Maru – one of the most famous wrecks in Chuuk Lagoon.
She was bombed and sunk by aircraft from US Navy carriers in February 1944. She now lies in 65 metres of water with her wartime cargo of battle tanks, munitions, trucks, tankers and torpedoes.
