“We have enjoyed our course and faced a few fears like going in the deep end and swimming to the bottom to pick up a brick. This has been a great experience for me and others and one that we will never forget”. – Balby Cadet
Congratulations to the Cadets from “C” Company Official Humberside & South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force for passing their BSAC – British Sub-Aqua Club Snorkel Diver Course which was used as a medium to cover Army Cadet Syllabus (ACS21) Adventure training at 2 and 3-star level as well as Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) skills at Bronze level.
The 5 week course organised by Captain Meares (Adventure Training Officer for HSY) and SSI Donna Nixon (Detachment Commander Mexborough) which involved 5 pool sessions and four theory lessons was thoroughly enjoyed by all and as Captain Mears states “It develops the individual in core values and standards”
Chris Stuart, Diving Officer for Dearne Valley Divers- Would like to thank the Cadets for the way they approached their training, with a professional, enthusiastic and fun attitude, always showing respect for the training and people around them and they are welcome anytime.
